How to prevent wrinkles

As we age, we naturally gain more and more wrinkles. They are a fact of life - and something that everyone experiences eventually! However, there are some ways to slow the process down, if you would like a younger-looking face for longer. Here are some ways to look after yourself, stay healthy and help prevent wrinkles.

Wear suncream

It's true what they say - the sun will age you a lot. Wearing suncream is a great protector against it, and is something that you can do at a younger age to ensure that you see fewer wrinkles when older! If it's a moisturising suncream, that's even better.

Eat foods high in antioxidants

External stressors known as free radicals can be caused by things such as a poor diet and high pollution, and they can affect your skin in multiple ways, including causing signs of ageing. To help prevent this, try to eat foods higher in antioxidants. Various foods that contain antioxidants include kale, kidney beans, blueberries, and acai. It's best to start eating a diet rich in these foods when young, but it certainly won't do any harm to eat them when older as well!

Wash your face thoroughly

Your skin absorbs cosmetics and other substances quickly, and this can result in wrinkles. Therefore, it's important to wash your face thoroughly each night, especially if you are wearing make-up. This will help with your overall skin health, and is likely to give you less of a chance of those pesky wrinkles!

Stop smoking

Smoking is one of the main reasons that people develop wrinkles before they should. Find ways to stop smoking if you do, and try to avoid being around people who smoke as second-hand smoke can have equally negative effects.

Take a collagen supplement

One of the main reasons that we get wrinkles is because our bodies produce less collagen as we get older. Collagen gives skin its natural elasticity, so the less we have, the more prone to wrinkles we may be! Taking a collagen supplement is a great way to revive wrinkled skin.

Kollo is the best collagen supplement - as well as collagen, it includes lots of vitamins and essential amino acids. This means that it helps prevent wrinkles, but also gives you a vitamin boost, and can help with other conditions too.
